37th Annual Indian Market at Pueblo Grande Museum

Mark your calendar for a fun-filled weekend as the Pueblo Grande Museum Auxiliary hosts the 37th Annual Indian Market on December 14 and 15, 2013.  The Market will be held on site at Pueblo Grande Museum located at 4619 E. Washington St., Phoenix.  Gates open at 9 a.m. both days and tickets are only $5 per person, with FREE entry for children age 11 and under.  You won’t want to miss it, especially if you are last-minute holiday shopping.

The 37th Annual Indian Market boasts an array of enjoyable, participatory activities for both children and adults in the new Ki: him - a cultural community village demonstration area.  The Market features exceptional American Indian music and dance, authentic American Indian fine art and collectibles, cultural exhibits, a variety of native foods, sweet and savory Indian fry breads, delicious cactus chili and other treats.  The Pueblo Grande Museum Auxiliary is proud to once again, host the Indian Market on site at the Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park.  By hosting this event at the Museum the Auxiliary makes it all the more special by including entrance to the Museum (which is usually $6) as part of the admission to the Indian Market for just $5.

Enjoy traditional and contemporary Native American music by local performing arts groups such as five-time World Champion Hoop Dance Winner and Emmy award winner Tony Duncan and Radmilla Cody, a Grammy nominated entertainer.  There will be dance performances by six-time World Hoop Dance Champion Derrick Suwaima Davis as well as the seldom seen Apache Crown Dancers.

Take in the market atmosphere while shopping over a hundred artist booths along the interpretive path in the archaeological park and within a drumbeat of the entertainment.  Check out the Native American fashion show, various demonstrations and welcome the opportunity to take a tour of the archaeological park and Museum.

Visitors are encouraged to use the METRO Light Rail's 44th Street and Washington stop an easy walking distance of the event site.  Admission is $5 per person and children under 12 are free.  The Pueblo Grande Museum's address is 4619 E. Washington Street, Phoenix.  There is ample, FREE public parking available on site.  Plenty of free parking on site or, visitors are encouraged to use the METRO Light Rail's 44th Street and Washington stop an easy walking distance of the event site.

There will be continuous on-site shuttle service from the parking areas to the admissions area.  The Indian Market will take place rain or shine.
