Got Plants?

Pueblo Grande Museum recently added the Native Plant Oasis and new plant signage along our outdoor trail system and will be adding more plant signage in the near future.  However, if you’re looking for an interesting place to visit this summer that has almost 375 acres of various arid plants from all over the world then the Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior would be a good choice.  You can stroll through grounds on 1.5 to 2 miles worth of shady trails to enjoy and learn about how arid land plants adapted and survive.  There are also specialty tours available to help you learn your lizards, butterflies or birds.  It’s a little cooler at the arboretum than here in the valley and the summer hours of 6:00am to 3:00 pm will help you beat the heat.  Check their website for directions and more information.
