Looking for something to do this weekend?

You might want to visit the 10 year anniversary celebration of the Sonoran Desert National Monument. It will be held on Saturday December 4th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field. The event is sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management and many other partnering organizations. There will be a “parade of history” depicting some of the historic events of the monument such as the Butterfield Stage route, the Mormon Battalion and the Anza expedition. There will be over 40 exhibitors, entertainment, food vendors, Native American crafts and more! It should be a fun and educational way to learn about one of our nearby national monuments.
